MULTI-AWARD winning South African musician Cassper Nyovest is scheduled to entertain locals this Saturday at the Ramatex building.
The show, which follows closely on the heels on the sold-out performance he had recently in Kuisebmund stadium in Walvis Bay, is part of his Refiloe album tour.
The Doc Shebeleza hit-maker is scheduled to perform alongside African Rap Queen Nadia Nakia, Tshego and Gemini Maejor, who are all signed under his label Family Tree.
However, there is also a large number of local talents who will be sharing the stage with him, namely Lioness, Matongo Family, Lady May, KP Illest, Maszanga, KK, Paradox, JBlack, Riz Zimmermann, Stxzo, DJ Chello, DJ Molequils, DJ Sandile and Team Chikola.
Knowledge Ipinge, the local organiser of the show who was also behind the Walvis Bay show, said that Nyovest decided to return to Namibia because he appreciated the support he received from his Namibian fans who he feels have played an important role in adding value to his career since he released his first mainstream song.
“Cassper Nyovest’s Refiloe album is currently sold out in all retailers across Namibia which speaks volumes and thus contributed to the decision of rewarding the fans with the album tour experience. Additionally, when we did the Fill Up Kuisebmund concert in March, there was a huge outcry by his fans on social media to comeback to Namibia and Cassper just loves our country’s beautiful scenery,” Ipinge explained.
The events organiser assured fans that they had a memorable night planned for them as the award winning musician planned on delivering a mind blowing performance, noting that he might also give them a sneak peak of a couple of his new songs.
Ipinge added that the show is also aimed to serve as a teaser of what can be expected at the Fill Up Orlando Stadium Concert scheduled for later this year on October 26, where Nyovest is planning attract a crowd of 40 000 people.
“This show is unlike any other because we are offering live music by Africa’s pinnacle artist and our local talent under one roof, and all the friendly music lovers that ensures the scene stays strong and there’s always some buzz to catch,” he said.
Audience members will be allowed to enter the venue as from 16h00, during which time the security team will check to see that they do not try to sneak in any contraband goods. Tickets are available for sale at Computicket outlets and Antonio’s Arts in Post Street Mall.
