Confidente Editor-in-Chief Max Hamata and his brother Lacho Abed, the owner of Hakahana Meat and Fish Market each donated N$10 000 and meat worth N$4 000 towards the burial of the late Simion Boysen, a 10-year-old boy who died last week from a mysterious disease that caused him severe abdominal pain. The boy’s mother, Erikka Ndeyanale who makes a living from selling kapana asked for the public’s assistance to help bury her son who until death has been in and out of hospital since the age of four. At some stage, doctors surgically removed his intestines because of the persistent pain. Hamata and two of Abed’s employees last Friday met Ndeyanale at the Windhoek Police Mortuary where they handed her the donation. She expressed gratitude saying she can give her son a dignified burial. The boy was laid to rest at Epale village in the Oshikoto region yesterday.
