THE much-anticipated 2016 Old Mutual National Choir Festival is coming to Windhoek in October.
The nation’s top choirs will pull out the stops to prove their worth as they battle it out in the finals of the Choir Festival.
According to a media release this week by Old Mutual Namibia marketing manager Quinten Potgieter, the company has for decades been a responsible business partner to the Namibian community. He adds, not only has Old Mutual been steadfast in its promise of being a friend in uncertain times, but it has intrinsically become part of the fabric that makes Namibia the flagship of success.
”Part of that commitment has been the relentless commitment of ploughing back into the communities we are honoured to serve,” he said.
Potgieter noted that being responsible to communities is evident in the sporting events, such as the Victory Races and Far North Championships, and Old Mutual’s commitment to education through its bursaries.
“Old Mutual invests more than one percent of net profit after tax in efforts that deliver on the Responsible to our Communities mandate.”
He said “It therefore comes as no surprise that Old Mutual has launched the first ever Old Mutual National Gospel Choir Festival within the church choir community. Music is at the core of who we are as a nation and song and dance has been the cornerstones for celebration or mourning.”
The National Gospel Choir Festival is hosting the regional auditions from August 6 to September 3 2016 across the country in the following towns.
06th Aug 2016 Otjiwarongo Sion Parish-ELCRIN
