Ongha Secondary School clinched the 2016 First National Bank (FNB) Classic Clashes after beating archrival Nehale Secondary School over the weekend.
The bitter rivals played to a goalless draw which saw the winner being determined by a penalty shootout but it was Ongha Secondary School who came out victorious after netting home four penalties compared to Nehale’s three.
According to FNB Manager Corporate Communication, Vicky Muranda Ongha goalkeeper Martin Mukumangeni was crowned the man of the match for his brilliant goalkeeping skills.
Mukumangeni made several saves during the penalty-shootout while teammate Saltiel Taleninawa was name the Vigo (soft drink) Hero.
In another showdown also over the weekend, Okatana Secondary School beat Haudano Secondary School also on penalty after a one-all draw stalemate.
Haudono hammered Okatana by 4-3 to seal a deserved victory. Okatana’s players Jafet Jafet was named the Vigo Hero while Benjamin Mathew took the man of the match title.
