As the feel-good factor generated by the successful hosting of the Olympic Games and by Brazil’s gold medal success in beach volleyball, football and volleyball in the last few days of competitions continues to be felt in the city, strong sales continued over the weekend.
Rio 2016 ticket director Donovan Ferreti said: “We are very pleased to have passed the one million mark, it really shows that Brazilians are engaging with the Paralympic Games. There have been queues at our ticket offices and you can feel the excitement building around the city. There are still many tickets left to see these fantastic and inspiring athletes, and the best way to do so is through the Rio 2016 ticket portal.”
