The gold and bronze medallist won the Nampower Sportsman of the year award including the Sports achiever of the year award.
Another Olympian compatriot, Jahannes Nambala, who clinched two silver medals at the Rio 2016 Paralympics won the FNB most improved sportsperson
of the year award while coastal-born sensation Johanna Benson retained the Nampower sportswoman of the award.
Lahyja Omagano ishitile away with the Nampower junior sportswoman with the disability award while the Nampower sportsman with the disability award,
went to Abraham Hafenanye.
Paralympian coach Michael Hamukwaya received the NSC’s Chairperson award and was also crowned the Coca Cola coach of the year.
The NBL sport team of the year award went 4×100 paralympian team.
Jackson Pavaza of the Namibia Football Association (NFA) was named the Coca Cola referee of the year while MTC junior sportswoman of the year title went to Mayvonne Swart with the men’s title going to Delano Muller.
The MTC sportswoman of the year award was snatched by marathon runner Beata Naigambo while the MTC sposman of the year award went to karateka Rudolph
de wet Moolman.
