NAMIBIAN Afro-pop and Kwaito star Tuuda Dumeni well known as Treckfo Wako D’vovo has released his second album The Relic Hunter following his first breakthrough album in 2013 Return of the Truth.
In the Relic Hunter, Treckfo is referring to himself and his musical career as something that has been in existence for a long time and will continue surviving. On this latest album, he features some heavyweights in the music industry like Exit, Satlam and Kuku Nkandanga.
The Relic Hunter is mostly packed with Afro-pop songs and according to Treckfo being an Afro-pop artist is that what his music represents.
Track 1 Olinga is a love song and Treckfo is stressing on the importance of love in our communities.
Track 5 Lavinia is Kizomba song which Treckfo dedicated to his mother. In the song he expresses his emotions and explains how he felt when his mother died. He further tells his story as a young person.
“Singing about my mother makes me not to forget her,” said Treckfo
Another exciting song worth listening to is track 8 Aamati Nuukandona featuring Kuku Nkandanga which contains a great message for the youth as they are encouraged to work hard.
The Relic Hunter contain lyrics that are consistent, and this was further confirmed by Treckfo who said he always write his songs based on what he has experienced in life and that what he always express in his lyrics.
“This album will teach the youth vital things about life as I know young people are faced with difficulties in their life; listening to some songs I believe that will console them,” said Treckfo.
