THE Renaissance Health Medical Aid Fund that is administered by Prosperity Health launched its 2017 product in Windhoek last week, which revealed the benefits and services for 2017 that entail benefits overview/ changes and overall annual increase for next year.
Presenting Product 2017, Prosperity group chief executive officer Bertus Struwig indicated that the product includes a package of seven product options such as Vital care, Primary care, Econo care, Express care, Status care, Prestige care and Elite care.
All of these seven product options will provide members with six core benefits starting from hospital benefits which will allow the members to have access to superior hospital benefits including benefits with no sub-limits. The second core benefit is Day to Day benefits which will give members an extensive cover for day to day medical needs and wellness core benefits will be preventing the members from life threatening conditions from becoming severe and one wellness will benefit for early detection. Complementary benefits will make members’ out of hospital benefits to go further by providing extra cover.
The benefits changes for 2017 will include overall annual limit that will be increased by eight percent in all product options while HIV/AIDS benefit changes for 2017 will be increased by 10 percent. Struwig confirmed that limit for over the counter medication has been increased from N$180 to N$200. Specialised treatment related medication now includes cover for diabetes and cardiac chronic medication as well as specialised medicines.
