Katutura-giant football club African Stars’ former defender, Bobby Tjiho, died on Tuesday (last night) here in the capital.
Though, the cause of death is at this stage unknown, the deceased older brother Gerson Katjimune confirmed the sad news to Confidente on Wednesday.
Katjimune said the former African Stars’ ardent right-wing defender died at exactly 23H50 but could, however, not disclose what led to his sudden death.
Incumbent Stars’ Manager, Lesley Kozonguizi when contacted said he found the late Tjiho at Stars when he took over the reign of team manager.
Known for his stubbornness the lanky defender formed part of the team that travelled to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to compete in the Cup Winners Cup in 1993.
Tjiho was an integral part of the red-white and blue outfit until he retired from in the mid- 90’s.
Tjiho who died at the age of 52 left behind two sons. He was a member of the star-studded Pespsi African stars squad of the early 1990s along with the like of Tse-Tse Nerumbu, Patrick Basson, Seven Endjala, Wagga wa
