The reader who writes about what is normal explains everything in life is subjective. It can be totally different in another culture.
There is nothing wrong with that as Hegel described. Cultural norms may be objective manifestations of subjective ideas. At the same time they may be subjective manifestations of objective ideas.
“Life is the first form in which substance is conceived as subject and is thus the first embodiment of freedom,” Herbert Marcuse says in Reason and Revolution.
University should not teach students that everything in life is relative, subjective, normal somewhere else … It should at least acknowledge the dialectic nature of nature.
