Gospel singer, entrepreneur, radio presenter and community leader, Phillip Appollus, has died at the age of 46. Appollus moved to Rehoboth at the age of 15, and although he sang at churches, weddings and various other social gatherings, he only released his first album at the age of 41. Among his accolades is winning the Namibian Annual Music Award in the Best Afrikaans category in 2012, for his timeless hit Alles op die altar. Appollus and Samuel van Wyk started the no holds barred Capricorn FM commercial radio station in Rehoboth in 2013, which advocated for truth and honesty. Appollus will be sorely missed by the Rehoboth community and Namibians at large.
