ASPIRING young entrepreneurs have until 31 August to submit their business plans for the 2018 Bank Windhoek BizzKids Competition.
The finalists will be announced on 22 September.
“We have received promising entries so far. Parents and teachers are urged to encourage their children to be part of this opportunity. It will allow them to test their business skills at an early age,” said Suzette January, a communication practitioner at Bank Windhoek.
The entrepreneurial competition is designed to help learners realise their business ideas, and was established eight years ago.
It is a platform created for learners aged between eight and 18, to sell and promote their own products and services.
This year the competition has been divided into two categories.
Scholars between the ages of eight and 13 will be competing against each other, while those aged between 14 and 18 will be entered into a separate category. Success ful entrants will win an opportunity to put their ideas and skills to the test at the Bank Windhoek BizzKids Market, which is scheduled to take place on 27 and 28 October at the Maerua Mall shopping centre in Windhoek.
The Bank Windhoek BizzKids Competition’s main objective is to educate Namibian youth about entrepreneurship, by providing them with an opportunity to enter a competition in which they can win one of 20 exhibition stands (10 for each category) at the Bank Windhoek BizzKids Market.
