NAMIBIA Sport Commission (NSC) Chairperson, Joel Mathews, says that an investigation has been launched into what transpired at the Special Olympics Namibia (SON), after its licence was revoked by the Special Olympic International (SOI), due to the alleged misappropriation of funds, maladministration and a lack of financial records.
One of the SON board members, Peter Wilson, is also a sport commissioner, but Mathews told Confidente that no immediate action would be taken, until the facts are established.
