ZANGAMAN, Key and Kazanga make up the dynamic trio called MasZanga and they recently released their second studio album, titled The Delayed Millionaires.
The album comes hot on the heels of their single Carolina making waves around the country earlier this year.
The Otjiwarongo boys have definitely acquired a unique afro-pop sound, while including indigenous melodies from local ethnic groups, such as the OvaHerero and Damara, and fusing them with modern afro-beat instrumentals. More than half of the songs on the album are produced by Kallo On The Beat, who seems to be Otjiwarongo’s got-to producer.
MasZanga features some of Namibia’s top musicians, including The Dogg, Adora, Dalom Kids, KK, Berthhold, Tesh, Hoan, J Black, Ula and Hboi on their new album.
Not only does the album have songs that refer to love like Thandiwe, Wedding bells and Carolina, but it also features songs that can easily make your day like Baam Baam, IyaIya and Mbaramba.
Since their rise to fame in late 2009, MasZanga has created songs that are celebrated across all corners of Namibia.
This album serves as a testimony that the trio is here to carve a niche for themselves on the local music scene.
The album is available at Antonio’s Art stand in the Windhoek Central Business District.
