… Goalkeeper shines against Zim, despite grandfather’s death, dad fighting for his life

DESPITE enduring personal battles on two fronts – the death and burial of beloved grandfather and his father fighting for his life in hospital – Brave Warriors goalkeeper Loydt Kazapua defied all the odds last Saturday, when he delivered a brilliant performance against the Warriors of Zimbabwe in the Dr Hage Geingob Cup.
He was on top his game, and made several telling saves, to keep the Brave Warriors on course for a memorable victory, which saw them keeping the cup on home soil.
The Brave Warriors mauled their football foe by 3-1 at the Sam Nujoma Stadium, in a match which saw local supporters filling the stadium to the rafters.
In an interview with Confidente this week the Brave Warriors number one goalkeeper said that going into the Zimbabwean game, he had experienced painful setbacks
