NAMPOL Inspector-General, Lieutenant-General Sebastian Ndeitunga, has revealed that between January 2016 and November 2017, a whopping 6 667 domestic violence or gender-based violence cases had been reported to the police, countrywide.
The domestic violence cases included rape, attempted rape, murder, attempted murder, arson, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, malicious damage to property, pointing of a firearm and crimen injuria.
