… After works ministry fails to cough up
By Eliaser Ndeyanale
THE water supply has been cut to government’s Neserhuis flats in Windhoek’s Ausspanplatz area, which houses close to 100 people, as the City of Windhoek attempts to force the defaulting Ministry of Works and Transport to pay its outstanding debts.
Residents at the dilapidated flats told Confidente this week that they have been without running water since last Thursday, because the works ministry, which acts as the custodian of government flats, has not paid its bills.
