… Estrolita is a shining light to those in need
AFTER years of living in South Africa as a model and entrepreneur, Estrolita Petersen (EP) came back to Namibia, with the aim of bettering the lives of the less fortunate in her hometown of Walvis Bay.
The passionate mother of two runs the ZEEZ Feeding Scheme, which sees her feed about 400 children at preschools around the coastal town, on a weekly basis.
She has since extended her charity work to the Walvis Bay State Hospital, where she has renovated dilapidated facilities, while working closely with especially abandoned young women, through her modelling agency, so that they can rediscover their meaning in life.
Estrolita was last year crowned Mrs Namibia Universal, and is the Ambassador for Ribbons for Roses South Africa.
She is also the Assistant Chief Executive Officer of Ribbons for Roses Namibia.
In an interview with Confidente’s Marianne Nghidengwa (MN), Estrolita talked about her charities and how, just like Mother Teresa, she aims to cast a stone across the waters, in order to create many ripples, while hoping that many will join her to better the lives of those in need.
