… Jeiyo’s inspirational journey to the top
By Jeoffrey Mukubi
WHEN kwaito king Gazza met a 14-year-old Julius Mtuleni, now popularly known as Jeiyo, many moons ago at the Ongwediva Trade Fair, and listened to an instrumental he had produced, he called it “trash”.
But today, Jeiyo is signed to Gazza Music Production (GMP) as a producer and an artist, and has emerged from the shadows to release his first studio album, titled Life, which is sure to put him in pole position to collect some awards at next year’s Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMAs)
Jeiyo always saw himself as an artist, but this was until Gazza heard him singing, by chance, and decided to persuade Jeiyo to produce his own body of work.
This culminated into Jeiyo releasing his first studio album.
