… But strangely no engagement around nuclear power ON 15 and 16 November, the Seventh Session of the Intergovernmental Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Namibia and Russia took place in Windhoek. Established in 2006 and officially opened by the then Russian Minister of Natural Resources, Yuri Trutnev, the commission’s mandate is to establish stronger trade relations between the two countries. Trutnev, now Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister, led the visiting delegation to Namibia last month and is the co-chair of the committee.
