NAMIBIA Premier League (NPL) outfit Tigers Football Club (FC) will get an opportunity today to respond to charges of bringing the league into disrepute, after they failed to pitch up for their first two fixtures of the 2017/18 football season, which kicked off in October.
NPL League Administrator, Joshua Hoebeb, confirmed to Confidente this week that the Tigers disciplinary hearing will start today, after they failed to honour their match commitments against the University of Namibia (Unam) FC and Citizen FC at the beginning of the season.
Tigers have already set the scene for the legal showdown with the NPL by forwarding a strongly worded lawyer’s letter, in which it said that it refuses to formally recognise the charges, while seemingly dismissing and undermining the power and authority of the league administrator.
