…Also appoints head of procurement
BANK Windhoek has announced the appointment of Hayley Ann Halford Allen as its new head of corporate affairs, effective from 1 January.
Allen holds a BA Degree in Human Science, with English as a major, from the University of Namibia (Unam) and has over 26 years’ experience in both communications and marketing. Having worked with respected local and multinational brands, she has a thorough understanding of brand communication compliance, working with corporate identity guidelines and developing communication strategies.
In her new role, she will be responsible to drive the overall communication strategy for Bank Windhoek, which includes managing public relations, reputational risk and digital social media.
“I am truly excited to have Allen on board and believe she will enhance our growing national reputation. We welcome her to the Bank Windhoek family and wish her all the success in her new role,” said Jacquiline Pack, Executive Officer for Marketing and Corporate Communication Services at Bank Windhoek.
Meanwhile Bank Windhoek has also announced the appointment of Jacques Joubert as its new head of procurement.
Joubert has over 20 years’ experience in the procurement environment, in both the public and financial sectors, including in supply chain processes such as receipting, warehousing, stock control, purchasing and supplier management.
He has obtained several advanced certificate programmes in purchasing and supply management from the University of South Africa (UNISA), and completed various courses in management and leadership.
Joubert’s main responsibilities will be to head the group procurement strategy, ensuring implementation and compliance with policies, procedures and relevant legislative requirements.
He will ensure that procurement efforts are efficient and effective, so that cost centres achieve maximum value.
“I am very excited at taking forward the procurement department at Bank Windhoek and look forward to an exciting year ahead,” said Joubert.
Bank Windhoek’s Chief Financial Officer, James Chapman, said, “I wish to welcome Jacques to the Bank Windhoek family and wish him all the best in leading the procurement department to new levels of efficiency.”
