… Facebook page nears 109 000 followers
SOCIAL media is forever changing the way we think and constantly influences cultures and societies.
In Namibia, it is where most people spend their time, to either check up on friends and family or to find and follow a page that has information on politics, education or even entertainment news – basically anything that has the potential to be a trending topic.
One such page that has grown tremendously over the past couple of years is the Wamboes Be Like Facebook page, which currently has just shy of 109 000 followers, and which posts comical memes, videos and random jokes that Namibians can relate to.
Wamboes Be Like also has an Instragram page and website, which currently being revamped, amid plans to include a retail store and local celebrity news section.
Confidente’s Jeoffrey Mukubi (JM) recently reached out to the Wamboes Be Like (WBL) creative team, to find out how they became the ‘go to’ social page, for a gag or two.
