…While PM wants late Namfisa CEO Street
By Eliaser Ndeyanale
CITY of Windhoek last week announced the renaming of three streets in honour of the late National Assembly member, Moses Katjiuongua, and Swanu stalwart John Garvey Muundjua, among others.
The honourees are the late Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) chief executive officer Phillip Shiimi as well as Jamaican proponent of Black Nationalism Marcus Garvey.
The request to rename Zenobia Street, to Phillip Shiimi Street was submitted to City by Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, in her capacity as a family member.
