NAMDEB’S workforce has been thrown into a panic, amid a voluntary retrenchment exercise, and the company owing most of the 1 500 workers between N$45 million and N$90 million for housing allowances and rental fees, dating back to June 2016, as fears rise that the cash-strapped miner will not be able to pay them their outstanding monies.
