NATIONAL Assembly this week rejected some of amendments proposed last year by the National Council on the Combating of Trafficking in Persons Bill.
National Council which is also known as the house of review last year proposed changes on eight clauses of the bill, it also said that sentences in the Bill were too lenient to perpetrators and there should not be the option of a fine upon the conviction of a human trafficker.
