…As police bust drug users in Erongo

FARM workers at Onguati farm in Karibib, have this week made a gruesome discovery of the body of 50 year-old Adolfine Nuwuses. Her remains were found in a field on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the police, the deceased was reported missing in December 2017 and further confirmed that a dress of the deceased was found not far from her lifeless body.
The cause of death was still unknown at the time of going to print as Nuwuses’ remains were taken to the Walvis Bay police mortuary for a post mortem.
The Police further said the deceased’s next of kin had been informed of her death as investigations into the matter continued.
In a separate incident, two men Joseph Haikali (37) and Theofelus Nambala (32) were in the early hours of Wednesday caught breaking into a Walvis Bay house. According to the Police the two suspects, were found in possession of house breaking weapons when they were arrested. They have since made a brief appearance in the Walvis Bay Magistrates Court as investigations continue.
In another case, 48 year-old Erastus Naidila was on Wednesday arrested at his home in Kuisebmund after being found in possession of cannabis with a street value of N$940. The suspect has since appeared in the Walvis Bay Magistrates Court.
Also in another drug related matter a 31 year-old man was arrested for being in possession of N$340 worth of cannabis when he was arrested on Tuesday night at Kuisebmund’s Windhoek taxi rank. He has since appeared in court as investigations continue.
On Sunday last week, police in the Erongo region arrested a 39 year-old man after he was found in possession of crack cocaine valued at N$500.
He has since appeared in the Swakopmund Magistrates Court but the court outcome was still outstanding by the time of going to print.
