The product also covers motor vehicle collisions, third party claims, personal injury matters, damage to property claims, evictions, divorces, defamation claims, building contracts, breach of contract, rejection of insurance claims, defective goods claims, pension and provident fund pay-outs, criminal litigation, civil litigation, protection orders, maintenance claims, labour matters, land disputes, administration of estates, conveyancing, consumer disputes and administration of estates.
At the launch, LexNa founding chairman, Elia Shikongo noted that the firm has seen a niche and need in the market and this prompted them to establish a legal cover that would bring about financial inclusivity.
“Our product comes at the right time when the challenges in the field in Namibia have been highly highlighted in the media. While it is unfortunate it underscored the need for a new alternative legal cover and also to make it possible through a reasonable and affordable manner.
“We believe LexNa is well positioned to represent many Namibians who seek legal counsel as we are an active participant in the short term legal insurance space. Our challenge is not the competition in the industry but to access the extent to which we can provide services at an affordable and reasonable rate,” he said.
The individual package of N$90 per month will cover services up to N$100 000 while the family cover which cover up to five children will provide service reaching N$300 000.
“With legal professionals with specialities in varied fields of law, we can ensure that our clients get the best in legal representation, at all times. From conveyancing to civil and criminal litigation and everything else in between, My Law has more than enough legal muscle to stand up for you,” the firm highlighted during launch proceedings.
