THE Namibia Football Association (NFA) Secretary General Barry Rukoro, has been asked to stay on until 28 April.
The Executive Committee will meet to discuss his contract, amongst other items at a meeting scheduled in Omuthiya, also on 28 April.
This was announced by the President and chairman of the NFA Emergency Committee Frans Mbidi on Thursday at the media briefing held earlier today.
At the meeting at which FIFA Development Officer David Fani was an observer, it was decided that the NFA in the meantime ask the Council of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA), for more information on Rukoro’s suspension as well as seek legal opinion on his COSAFA suspension and his contract with the NFA.
Mbidi said the Emergency Committee meeting was convened to address the football administration that was thrown into disarray following the expiry of Rukoro’s employment contract on 31 March 2018.
The NFA Emergency Committee consists of the President and his two deputies, first vice President Naftal Ngalangi and second vice-president Ludwig Crooks Nunuheb.
