KINDLY find attached hereto a letter in respective of birthday wishes to Comrade Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation Dr Sam Nujoma
My warmest wishes to a great giant who strode the globe like a colossus. A leader I have so much respect for and a brave warrior of the Namibian revolution for almost half a century. In advance, I would like to congratulate comrade founding father on his 89th birthday celebration. This is such a ripe age and in fact, a blessing from above.
I wish a happy birthday to a mind whose thoughts have opened the doors to the liberty of the people of Namibia. A heart whose dream gave hope to the despised, a gentle voice whose measured words of reason shook the thrones of tyrants.
Comrade founding father is an embodiment of love, an idea, a hope, an aspiration, and vision. He is other than what the naked eye can see. We can sense it, but never crystalize the thought that with us there is one of the few people who inhabited our own human environment, who could be described as the jewel in our own crown.
We shall never allow the comrade-founding president to be disrespected and the ideals for which he sacrificed his life to die, it will never die as long as we live. Comrade Nujoma is personally part of my soul as hehas willingly entered into a conspiracy with my grandfather late Swapo National Chairman Cde David Hosea Meroro, a man with whom he has tightened together the secret nods for the victory of our country cause.
We shall, therefore, continue to encourage organization such as the African Improvement Society (AIS) of which I am serving as its vice president to remain loyal to the common purpose that can make up our own rainbow coalition.
He has set himself a task, which only the brave would dare. Somewhere in the mystery of his essence, he heard the call that he must devote his life to the creation of a new Namibian nation. And having heard that call, he did not hesitate to act.
All of us who are proud to count ourselves among children and grandchildren of his friends, his closest comrades – it may be that all of us will never be able to discover what it was in his essence which convinced him, and our parents could, consciously and deliberate actions, so heal our fractured society that out of the terrible heritage, there could be born a nation.
All humanity knows what he had to do with his fellow comrades to create the conditions for all of us to reach this glorified end.
Nelson Mandela once said and I quote: There are many who did not understand that to heal we had to lance the boil. Many still do not understand that the obedient silence of the enslaved is not the reward of peace, which is our due, end of quote.
The reality is,South Africa apartheid government left us just abruptly as orphans on the streets with the attainment of our political independence. However, in a very short period of difficulty coming out of the war and so on comrade Dr. Nujoma leftus with monuments in a period of 17 years that could have taken us a long time to build in this country. Today we stand to watch the dawn of a new day.
There are negative elements that are want to destroy the unity amongst members and leaders of our organization, Swapo and it is only comrade founding president who can remain a glue in these difficult time to keep our party and the whole nation together, in his capacity being the founding father of this small nation.
Only comrade founding president that can remain a symbol of national unity. We still have many problems – intertribal, socially, economiccrisis and international issues and other important pertinent matters to – resolve.
Such as the economic crisis we are facing today as a country. Which have some very severe consequences for the future of the people of this country, especially the youth? It has already come to an attention of every individual in Namibia.
Some of our veteran politicians who have been part and parcel of the first cabinet up to date are now pointing figures, blaming the sitting president for the economic challenges we are facing today. That the government under the leadership of His Excellency Dr. Hage Geingob government was not performing its role to curb the situation.
On my own personal point of view, and observation we are not doing a fair game. We should keep in mind of the fact that Rome was not built overnight. We should give his Excellency comrade-sitting president a chance to digest. Only now, that he is approaching the quarter of his first term in office. Therefore, it is too early to put the blame on him. The economic crisis of a country is not an issue that can be addressed on the basis of one-man show only, but rather a collective effort.
We are all aware that economic crisis has a negative influence on ordinary people because the majority of our people relied heavily on wages and salaries, which are largely affected by the economic recession. This made the condition to be deplorable among the ordinary people as compared to those who relied on a fixed income and welfare benefits. An economic crisis can lead many people to commit suicide due to stress because of economic downfall. This is because people will not be able to meet their basic needs due to rise in the cost of living. It happened during the economic recession of 2007, where many lives were lost in the U.S.A.
Namibia economic crisis. We are witnessing ordinary people organizing strikes as they tried to air their grievances’ to their employers to increase their wages and salaries. When their wages are increased the cost of goods and services continued to escalate. This further made ordinary people to pressure the government to stop neglecting their interest and rather provides a remedy to the economic crisis.
I predict that we may experience another severe economic crisis if no immediate intervention is put in place. The situation is also predicted by many other economic analysts to reoccur, especially if we continue to consume more than what the economy can offer. Additionally, the situation is predicted to reoccur because of continuing borrowing of loans from abroad without repaying the outstanding loans.
Thus economic challenges will have a very severe implication to both the government of the country, ordinary people, and the overall world economy.
In case of Namibia, the government needs to put in place interventions measures in place.
The government of a country is a key player in stopping the economic crisis and moving the economy at a growing rate. The government should focus on increasing money circulation containing inflation, reducing per capita debt level balancing interest rates, ensuring an atmosphere conducive to business activities and boosting per capita disposable income.
The government also needs to focus on reducing expenditure, focus on infrastructure development, and encourage foreign direct investment.
Companies should use innovation, as is the secret of success for the business. The individual and general public have a role to play in the economic crisis of their country. People should make money, by all means, and have enough savings. Individuals should work extra harder in order to cope with high cost of living that is hitting them and to increase their savings and income.
Buying of assets and payment of taxes promptly play a vital role in avoiding economic downfall.
Let us all support the deserved sitting president His Excellency Dr. Hage Geingob, in the journey of his responsibility.
Let all who value peace say together – long live comrade founding president!
Let all who love freedom say together – long live comrade founding president!
Let all who uphold the dignity of all human beings say together – long live comrade-founding president!
Let all who stand for friendship among the peoples of the world say together- long live comrade-founding president!
Let all of us who live, say that while we live, the ideals for which comrade founding president lived, sacrificed will not die!
Let all of us who live, say that while we live. Comrade founding president you will not be disrespected and disregarded!

In all this, we will not fail you!
