THE Health Professions Council of Namibia (HPCN) has cleared Oshakati-based Egyptian medical practitioner, Dr Tarek Gouda of unprofessional conduct following allegations that he used his sperm to artificially inseminate his former employee, Toini Iipumbu who has since given birth to a baby boy.
Gouda also faced a N$2 million lawsuit by Iipumbu’s husband Johannes Ndume, who said that the doctor took sperm samples from him to use in a series of insemination attempts, but allegedly ended up using his own sperm, during the procedure that finally led to the couple conceiving.
