CHINESE Ambassador to Namibia Zhang Yiming on Tuesday signed the “Chinese Ambassador Scholarship” that will benefit leaners from three primary schools in Windhoek.
The ambassador together with, Principals of Chairman Mao Zedong High School, People’s Primary School and Monte Christo Primary School have signed the agreements to establish in these three schools.
The scholarship was established to encourage learners to study harder and make contributions to Namibian education career.
“I would be more than happy to see some families and learners in Namibia could benefit from the scholarship and the Scholarship program could become one of the brands of China-Namibia solid and sincere friendship,” he said.
The ambassador informed the principals that China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation will work with The First Lady Foundation of Namibia to donate loving heart school bags with some necessary stationary to some schools, Adding that he sincerely hopes that more schools would participate in the project and benefit from the program.“I really appreciate their enthusiasm and devotion to the education career and would like to provide necessary support to their schools within our capacity,” he said.
While expressing his sincere appreciation Patrick Xoagub the principal of People’s Primary School said he would like to introduce Chinese Language Training Course at his school in future to encourage more students to learn more about China.
