ALL roads lead to the Coast this weekend as the new and improved Standard Bank Auto Show rolls into town for a date at the famous Dome on Friday and Saturday (27 and 28 July).
The event promises to be spectacular with the best models that the automotive industry has to offer. This will be the first time that car enthusiasts in the coastal of town of Swakopmund will have the opportunity to experience one of the most anticipated events on the Namibian entertainment and automotive calendar.
Car dealers from all over Namibia will showcase their hottest products for 2018, and the event will include an outdoor section to increase the variety of vehicles on display.
The entertainment will be unique with some of the best Free Style Motorcross Riders (FMX) from South Africa that will wow show goers with their daredevil stunts inside the hall – a first for Namibia, while the likes of Theuns Jordaan, Adam, Bobby van Jaarsveld and Leah, will set the ambiance with their beautiful tunes.
Standard Bank’s Head of Vehicle and Asset Finance, Wim Lotter, says the bank and its collaborators are taking the event to new heights, with a new name, look and feel, that embodies a festival feel.
Apart from the dealers showcasing some of their best models and revellers having a taste of the best biltong Namibia has to offer, there will be a little something for wine lovers, music lovers and entertainment for the little ones so they too have something fun to do.
While typical auto shows are about showcasing auto products only, the Standard Bank Biltongfees and Auto Show also shines light on the various stakeholders who make the automotive industry succeed locally.
“The objective of the Standard Bank Biltongfees and Auto show is to create a platform for selected dealers, suppliers and stakeholders in the market and to create awareness for prospective buyers…” Lotter says.
The Lollo’s will keep the little ones entertained and African Marketing will ensure that wine lovers keep their throats lubricated as they host 13 premium wine estates at the event.
Foodies will be happy to know that the Nederduitse Hervormde Church promises to tantalise their taste buds with the best in local cuisine, while they witness the crowning of the Miss Biltongfees.
“Standard Bank will most definitely ensure driving pleasure with our super specials to guarantee that clients, not only get to view these beautiful cars, but also drive one. What can be more enticing than an exhilarating event with the best in the motoring industry, great deals, great performances and mouth-watering biltong and food stalls? Nothing!” Lotter concludes.
The Standard Bank Biltongfees and Auto show will take place in Windhoek on 3 and 4 August at the Trustco Sports Fields.
The Coastal Auto show will kick-off with a parade through Swakopmund to the Dome on 26 July, from 15h00-16h00.
