THE infighting and divisions between the Namibia National Students Organisation (NANSO) leadership has escalated to a point where threats of court action are now being issued.
The latest case of division in the leadership emerged during the NANSO Kavango East regional conference, convened by their President Ester Simon and Secretary-General Simon Taapopi, held on June 27. Some of the students’ body leaders were seemingly not in favour of holding the conference and publicly criticized the move.
Deeming the conference “illegitimate” and thereby nullifying it, Ervin Likoro, the NANSO Secretary for Information, Communication and Technology for the Kavango East Regional Committee, dismissed the June meeting as lacking inclusivity.
