THE appointment of Henri Kassen as Labour Commissioner is tantamount to appointing a civilian as police station commander, the Secretary General of the Namibia Public Workers Union (Napwu) Petrus Nevonga has said.
In a letter addressed to the Minister of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation Erkki Nghimtina on 23 April, seen by Confidente, Nevonga accuses Kassen of allegedly never having arbitrated in a single labour dispute since he joined the institution in November 2015.
