Cry! Namibia Cry! We remember Magdalena Stoffels, the 17-year-old schoolgirl who was found raped and murdered in a riverbed.
13-year-old Elizabeth Claudia Guim whose lifeless body was found in a riverbed at Tsumeb.
Schoolgirl Rina !Nau/gawases who was raped and murdered in the Goreangab informal settlement on the outskirts of Windhoek.
We will always remember Avihe Ujaha and all the little girls before her who met a terrible fate for doing nothing other than being born female.
The little girls who bravely took a bow to the game of life so they can bear witness to the safety (lack thereof) of women and children in this Country. We are failing as a society. We are failing miserably.
Cry Namibia today your soil bleeds, you have lost your humanity, you shocked the universe. Cry Namibia, your young ones are not safe. Lead us to the perpetrators, oh mother Earth, hear our souls cry and see our eyes bleed
Namibia, Land of the Brave? Not a chance we can call ourselves that as long as we continue to prey on women, children and the most vulnerable. We will earn it back only if and when we become a more caring and compassionate society. Don’t @ me. Remember young Cheryl Ujaha instead.
Sitting here far from home, I have been in denial to accept that this little angel’s life was cut this short by a monster still roaming around our streets. I sat the entire night visualizing what cruelty she might have encountered in her last moments. It is so painful and too devastating for any parent. Surely, little Cheryl suffered at the hands of someone she knew and trusted. The culprit should be apprehended, he or she is in the neighborhood. To her dear mother and father, we keep you in prayers during this difficult moments.

Iwas shocked to learn of the devastating death of the nine-year old Cheryl Ujaha. I join the family and relatives to mourn Cheryl Ujaha who was murdered, mutilated and boiled. To all the family members and relatives I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences and support to you during this difficult time. As for our government, I call for a heavy penalty for the perpetuators. Fellow compatriots, let us join hands and make Namibia a safe place for our children and women. Let us all watch each other’s backs.
Once again, to the family of the pioneer Cheryl Ujaha. may the Almighty God give you all the strength you need.
The brutal murder and mutilation of young Cheryl Ujaha is not only sad, but raises many question about the dismal state of our humanity. This is perhaps the lowest of low moments.
God bless and guide Cheryl’s innocent heart into the gates of heaven. Condolences to her mother. It can and never will be fair to lose a child, more so in the way Cheryl Avihe Ujaha went.
Cheryl Avihe Ujaha, I can’t fully comprehend the pain you went through, but I hope the really sick person or people that did that to you get caught and punished in the harshest way possible (sometimes people have to be served with an eye for an eye justice), May your soul get to R.I.P
