POLITICAL analyst Hoze Riruako says it is the anticipation of most Namibians that the third repatriation of skulls belonging to Nama and OvaHerero people from German will strengthen calls for the recognition of the 1904-08 genocide and demand for a formal apology from the German authorities.
Riruako told Confidente this week that it was high time that a lasting solution was found to bring to an end the issue of reparation demands. The analyst was hopeful that the delegation involved in the current repatriation process will engage the German authorities in a meaningful and matured discussion to ensure the repatriation opens avenues to finally put the matter to rest.
