THE Namibian Agriculture Union (NAU), which represents mainly white commercial farmers, has cautioned Namibians to properly define what ancestral land means in order to further understand possible implications when handling the matter.
This comes hot on the heels of growing demands by Namibians especially descendants of the victims of the OvaHerero/Nama genocide of 1904 to 1908, that land lost to German settlers at the time, should be returned to them. Namibians further lost land during the illegal South African occupation of Namibia.
